Onto Pewter City!

I smirked and said, "Tepig, you know what to do." Tepig jumped in front of me. The Bug Catcher sent out two Caterpie and I said to Tepig, "Use Ember on whichever one you want." Tepig charged at the one on the left and Ember attacked it making it faint. It was out faster than I could finish my attack commands.

And then there was one Caterpie. Bulbasaur rammed it head on. Then before the Caterpie could try to make a move, Bulbasaur grabbed it with one vine, then used vine whip on it with the other. The double dose of pain caused it to faint.


We continue to trek into the Viridian Forest. Eventually, I get bored. So I decide to read my mythology book. It's a good thing I brought it, otherwise I would be really bored.

I walked with Dante while he read his book. I yawned wondering how late it was getting. It had to be past noon already. As we continued we came across two wild Pokemon. They were a Shroomish and a Weedle.


I targeted the Shrromish and said, "Tepig, attack the Shroomish with Ember." Tepig grunted and then spat flames at the Shroomish engulfing it in fire and it fainted very quickly. I then see that Dante is still reading his book and I say, "Put the damn book down. We've got a battle here."

I look up from my book, grumbling to myself. Then I see a Weedle. "Oh, a battle," I motion to Bulbasaur to tackle Weedle. Bulbasaur fainted it

Both Pokémon gain 10 exp

Since the battle finished, I resumed my reading. It was mainly the only thing keeping me awake.

I looked at him as we continued our journey through this god forsaken forest. I said to him, "Hey, I think we're almost out of here. We should be out of here soon." As we walked I saw a clearing up ahead. However, I noticed that two more bug catchers were walking our way. They spotted us and ran towards us. The one on the left said, "My name is Sammy." The other one said, "My name is Charlie. Let's have a battle!" I smiled and said, "Well, at least it's a real double battle this time." I sent Tepig out in front of me. And Sammy sent out a Weedle. Charlie sent out a Caterpie.
Double Battle Encounter:

I looked up to see two bug catchers. So a double battle huh. "Bulbasaur," I said with great vigor, "use vine whip!" Bulbasaur used vine whip on the Weedle, and then rushed it with tackle, fainting it with ease. 'Good,' I thought, 'now I won't be interrupted in my readings.'

I told Tepig, "Ember attack the Caterpie. It attacked and it fainted easily. The Bug Catcher that sent out a Caterpie then sent out two Metapod. He then said, "You thought this battle was over didn't you. Try taking these things out. I looked at Dante and and then at the Metapod and laughed loudly. This boy's overconfidence in Metapods was simply rediculous. I told Tepig, "Ember attack the one on the right." Tepig then charged at the Metapod and breathed fire right in its face. The Metapod fainted.

I thought it was the funniest thing ever when the bug catcher showed his bravado for his Metapod. I laughed so hard, I could barely breathe. I straightened myself out, "Alright, Bulbasaur use Vine Whip." You could say he used vine whip. However, Bulbasaur grabbed the fainted Metapod, and threw it at the other Metapod. It then rushed the Metapod that was not fainted with tackle. He slammed it into a tree, causing it to faint. I said to the bug catcher, "Did you enjoy your last moment of bravado?"

I smiled and said to Dante, "Well we're almost out of the forest. We can either keep training here until our Pokemon get a bit stronger or we can head to Pewter City. The choice is yours though I would prefer to train more here if that is understandable. I hear that the gym leader of Pewter City is Brock a rock and ground type user. I wouldn't stand a chance against him as of now."

I look at Rika, "Well, my job's done, I just wanted to make sure you got through the forest. I hope we see each other again, but I doubt it will happen." I start to exit Viridian Forest.

Bulbasaur looked at me surprised, "Bulba, Bulbasaur Saur?"("Wait, we're leaving Rika and Bacon Strip?")

I stared at him, a little confused. "I thought you would want to."

"Bulba..."("Yeah...")

We made our way to Pewter City, leaving Viridian Forest behind us.

I watched them go and then said to Tepig, "Alright, let's get training." I walked with Tepig wondering what Pokemon I might come across. I would evolve Tepig before leaving Viridian Forest.

When I saw the Kriketot I said to Tepig, "You know the drill. Use Ember on it. Tepig ran in front of me and sent some flames hurtling towards it. I wondered if they would hit the Krikitot.

The Kricketot takes the hit head on. However, it does this because it is concentrating its energy. The Kricketot was starting to use Bide. It unleashes this power in a concentrated blast.

I told Tepig, "Quick, dodge it and then follow up with another Ember attack." Tepig jumped into the air just in time only getting nicked by the Bide attack a little bit and then shot flames at Kriketot again. I hoped this would be enough to finish it off.

The Kricketot starts to panic at the wall of fire coming closer to it. It goes to use struggle bug on Tepig, but gets engulfed in the flames. It coughs a puff of smoke and faints.

I smiled and said, "Great job, Tepig. You did a wonderful job. Ready for more?" Tepig looked at me happily and said, "Tep, Tepig." With that we continued onward wondering what we would encounter next.

I was walking along feeling quite proud of myself and then I encountered a Kakuna. I had a feeling I was so close to my goal. I sent Tepig out in front of me and said, "Cmon Tepig use Flame Charge." Tepig surrounded itself in flames and charged at the Kakuna at a very fast speed.

I looked at my new Pignite and went over to it quickly. I smiled and gave it a hug. I said to him, "You look awesome, Pignite. Now fighting the Pewter City Gym Leader should be easy to take down." Pignite thrust its arms up and down happily. Together, we then walked out of Viridian Forest and into Pewter City.
